The History of ContinentialAirlines

Two very smart entrepreneurs named Walter T. Varney and Louis Mueller started Continental Airlines, or what would be knows today as Continental Airlines, back in 1934. The first flight made by the own Varney was from Pueblo, Colorado to El Paso, Texas and it stopped at Las Vegas, Santa Fe and Albuquerque, New Mexico. 1934 was also the year when Varney gave total control of the airline to Mueller.

In the year 1936 Mueller sold forty percent of the airline to a man named Robert F. Six, who stayed in front of the company for more than forty years. The date on which this airline became known as Continental Airlines was July 1, 1937 when Robert F. Six establish it as such.

Today Continental Airlines has gone through many changes but they have all have been for good that’s for sure. Continental Airlines was recently voted the airline with greatest customer satisfaction. They have even won awards for best executive class and best on time airline, among many others through out the years.

Even though their headquarters where moved once or twice through out the years and their owners went and stayed Continental Airlines is a magnificent airline established in United States.
